Welcome to my academic website! I am a philosopher and photographer currently living in Philadelphia. For the 2020-2021 academic year I will be a visiting assistant professor in the Augustine and Culture Seminar Program (ACSP) at Villanova University.
My work is devoted to a philosophical study of art as a site for the affirmation of life and a vision of life as a work of art. My current work focuses on a theory of photography informed by Nietzsche’s perspectivism and Heidegger’s phenomenology. I have published on alterity in Greek tragedy and also have active research interests in phenomenology (Heidegger), the contemporary reception of Greek philosophy and tragedy, and the philosophy of film.
